Self-study, our name for homework, reflects the importance of independent knowledge consolidation and application in preparation for Level 2 and Level 3 examinations. Instructions for self-study are set in Microsoft Teams Classes to support students and families with organisation. See below for guidance on accessing Microsoft Teams
Virtual learning on school-approved platforms is used to support learning and consolidation of key knowledge: Sparx Maths is used by Year 9 to 11 students; Sparx Science is currently being trialled with targeted year groups; Sparx Reader is used for reading self-study at Key Stage 3. Students have a single Sparx login. The websites can be found here:

Students will also be expected to complete work in exercise books and workbooks.
