Course Information
We learn about the economic climate and how business works. You will also have the opportunity to enter a competition to trade on a virtual stock market with a range of prizes, including a trip to New York. This is a work-related course where students use case studies from local businesses to produce assignments. Assessment is largely by coursework but there is also and examined element.
You will consider:
- How various business problems can be addressed by organisations and how opportunities can be utilised.
- Practices and techniques used within marketing finance, operations management and the links be-tween them
- Social and ethical issues
- The external environment
